Saxton Freymann

Saxton Freymann, born in Ann Arbor, Michigan on October 30, 1958, and grew up in White Plains, New York; London, United Kingdom; and New Canaan, Connecticut is an author and painter.

History

He attended Williams College in Williamstown, Massachusetts, and dual majored in Art and Philosophy. He worked as an artist after graduating until he met Mia Galison. They married and had three children. Soon after their last children were born, Saxton Freymann partnered with Joost Elffers to make a book called Play With Your Food, which was published by Elffers.

Work

Freymann, however, carved the celebrated fruits and vegetables into FACES, and soon got an eight book deal with Scholastic Inc. His works include, How Are You Peeling, One Lonely Sea Horse, Dr. Pompo's Nose, Gus and Button, Dog Food, Baby Food, Fast Food, and Food for Thought. He currently lives in New York City with his family.
