Sarah Magness
Sarah (Anderson) Magness (September 15, 1977) is an American interior designer.
Early Life
Sarah Magness grew up primarily in the South, in Georgia and Texas; however, she lived in Tokyo, Japan for a few of her formative years. She graduated from Southlake Carroll High School in Southlake, TX in 1996. Upon graduation she attended Texas A&M University but transferred to the University of Texas in Austin, TX the following year where she graduated from in 2000 with a Bachelor's degree in [Architecture]. Sarah worked for an architecture firm in Dallas, TX before moving to New York City in 2002 to pursue a Master's degree program in [Interior Design] at PRATT.
Sarah wed fashion designer, Rob Magness, in November 2007 at Trinity Church in downtown Manhattan.
Career
While attending Pratt, Sarah worked for various interior design and architecture firms. After completing her Master's program in 2004, Sarah began working as an interior designer. She has worked for many prominent interior designers including Christopher Maya, Benjamin Noriega-Ortiz, and Jamie Drake. In the spring of 2009 Sarah began her own interior design firm, Magness Design, Inc.
The December 2009 issue of House Beautiful magazine named Sarah as one of the top 20 up-and-coming interior designers.
