Sandeep Jaitly
Sandeep Jaitly is an economist in the tradition of Carl Menger. He is a student of Antal E. Fekete. Sandeep attended Tiffin School and read mathematics at Imperial College, London. On graduation, he began working in finance at Odey Asset Management in London. Currently, Jaitly is an investment manager and strategist at First International Group plc. in London. He lectures worldwide on a broad range of topics related to Mengerian economics with Fekete. He has been critical of the methodology of the American Austrian School of Economics, as well as objectivism. He has done research on the basis and co-basis in the futures markets of precious metals, which has gained the attention of other heterodox scientists such as J.R. Rallo of the Juan De Mariana institute (Madrid). In a recent interview with Lars Schal, Jaitly debunked several myths around gold, money, Ludwig von Mises and Austrian methodology. Jaitly has established a bullion fund that allows investors to earn a return in gold upon their gold holdings. He is considered a proponent of the New Austrian School of Economics, grounded on the insights of Carl Menger and urges Austrian economists to go back to the roots, instead of Ludwig von Mises, who was a great scholar in his own right, but nevertheless a digression from true Austrian Economics.
