Séan Evans

Séan William Evans (born 25 September 1987 in Shropshire) is an English footballer currently playing for Manchester United Reserves. His usual position is on the left wing, but he is able to play as a striker to equally good effect.

Born in Shropshire, Evans began his career with Shrewsbury Town's youth team, but was soon spotted by scouts from Manchester United and he made the move to the United Academy in 2004. Over the next two seasons, Evans made the left-wing spot in the United Under-18s team his own, and towards the end of the 2005-06 season he began to break into the Reserve side.

Evans spent the 2006-07 season alternating between left-wing and centre-forward for the Reserves but struggled to hold down a place in the starting line-up. Despite this, he was nominated for the Reserve Player of the Year award, but came in third place behind Michael Lea and the winner Kieran Lee.
