Sajid Khan (writer)

Sajid Khan () (born March 15, 1972) is a Pakistani Urdu writer. He has published collection of his stories that received attention from the literary circle of Pakistan.

Early life

Sajid Khan was born in Havelian, Abbottabad, a well known city of Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa, Pakistan. His grand father, Mir Muhammad Khan kialvee was a business man at Havelian, his father, Sakhawat Khan kialvee followed ancestor's business. Khan received his early education from Jinnah Public School and Government High School No 1 Havelian. He completed his Graduation from Government Degree College Havelian in 1996. Later he obtained a degree of MA Islamic Study from the University of Peshawar in 1999 and MA Urdu from Hazara University in 2005. He is a regular employee of Education Department, Khyber Pakhtoonkhawa.

Literary career

Sajid Khan began Writing Short Stories in 1996. His stories have been published in major literary journals of Pakistan. In May, 2011, his collection of short stories "مجھے روشنی چاہیے" (I need a light) has been published by Friends Publisher, Rawalpindi, that was appreciated by readers and critics. He also wrote columns for different newspapers on the several issues including social, religious, cultural, political and other aspects of life.
