Ryan Howsam (businessperson)

Ryan Craig Howsam (born June 1966) is a British businessperson, investor, and the founder of Staysure Group, an insurance company.

Early life and career

Howsam was born in the UK and attended Chaucer Comprehensive School in Sheffield. He began his business career at 17, selling double-glazing. In 1999, he founded First for Golf. Howsam graduated from the Columbia Business School.

In 1999, Howsam founded his first travel-related venture, First for Golf. Howsam founded Intervest Technologies in Sri Lanka in 2005. Howsam founded Staysure, a travel insurance provider, in 2005.

In 2019, he founded Arimelia SL, a Spanish real estate investment trust focusing on luxury rental properties, which includes a luxury co-working space, Centro House Marbella.

In April 2020, he co-founded The Entrepreneur Fund. In 2025, Howsam commissioned the CEBR to review the theoretical implications of a reform in capital gains tax.
