Palm plantations

Royal groups palm plantations are located in West Kalimantan, Indonesia with a land bank of more than 100,000 Hectares. Royal Group’s Palm Plantations have been structured as three independent plantation management companies in West Kalimantan along the Kapuas River near the town of Tayan which are PT Royal SBI, PT Suryaborneo Indah, PT Kapuas Plantation Industry.

Refineries and fractionations

Royal Group refineries are established in an industrial park in Surya Cipta Industrial Estate Karawang, 55 km from Jakarta. The three palm oil refineries are equipped with technology which converts crude palm oil to low quality edible oil. Both refineries have a combined capacity of 2200 tons of crude palm oil into refined, bleached and deodorized palm oil (RBDPO) and palm fatty acid distillate (PFAD) as by product.

Royal group refineries have three dry fractionation plants to process 2200 metric tons per day of palm oil ensuring cooking oil and non hydrogenated ghee. The RBDPO is passed through a further process of dry fractionation to separate palm olein and palm stearin.
