Rome Romanne

Rome Romanne (a.k.a. Rome Bautista) is an American Male fashion model. Representing the United States, he was the winner of the 2003 Mr. Earth Pageant, an international male beauty competition based in Karachi, Pakistan. Throughout his pageant career, he has held local, state and national men's pageant and modeling titles. In 2003, Romanne represented the United States in two international pageants: Mr. Tourism-World and Mr. Model of the World, staged consecutively in Guatemala City, Guatemala. Although he did not win, he walked away with two titles: Mr. Personality (in Mr. Tourism-World) and Best Face (in Mr. Model of the World).

A professionally-trained actor, Romanne studied Theater at both California State University and UCLA and continued his graduate studies at Harvard University. He is a trained dancer/choreographer, having signed first with Julie McDonald of Kazarian/Spencer and then Bobby Ball. A member of the Screen Actors Guild, he appeared as a minor on the syndicated reality television show, "Puttin' on the Hits."

As a host, he has emceed numerous pageants and dance competitions, most recently the 40th Annual Miss Dance Drill Team USA pageant in Irvine, California. Past televised hosting gigs include the pilot episode of "The Pinoy Power Show," an Asian American news entertainment program. In 1998, Romanne received the ACTAA "Best Actor" award for his role as Bernardo in "West Side Story."

In August 2007, Romanne set out on a six-continent, forty-city world tour that he is "documenting through fashion." The pictures and journal entries generated in collaboration with fashion photographers, other models, and writers while on tour are to form the basis of a book, Rome Around the World.

Romanne makes his permanent home in Beverly Hills, CA where he continues to model. He also continues to work as a choreographer and emcee while pursuing his career in the entertainment industry.
