Roger Abramson

Roger Abramson is a nationally known producer, arts and entertainment administrator and artists' manager. Included in his wide-ranging resume includes theatre and concert presentations, venues owned and managed, and special events. His more than 40 years experience includes thousands of concerts across the United States featuring classical (including New York City Ballet, Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Choir Boys, Ballet Folklorico de Mexico, Vienna Symphony Orchestra), to rock, pop, jazz, country and comedy (including The Rolling Stones, The Who, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Steve Martin, Janis Joplin, The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Aretha Franklin, Miles Davis, Led Zeppelin). In 1999, a portion of his work was featured in an exhibit on Ohio music at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland.

Mr. Abramson created and produced many festivals, concert series, and venues, including: Twilight Concerts at the Music Inn and the Performance Centers in Massachusetts; The Ohio Valley Jazz Festival, The Cincinnati Concert Series, The Dayton Performing Arts Series, The Children's International Dance Festival, The Indianapolis Rock Festival, and The Caribbean Music Festival; and was the local presenter of many Broadway plays.

In addition to his work on the boards of the Arts Councils of Miami Beach, Cincinnati and The Ohio Arts Council (to which he was a founding member), he served as a consultant to the Virgin Islands Arts Council (appointed by Vice President Humphrey), The Appalachian Arts and Craft Council, and The Young Friends of The Arts.

Mr. Abramson holds degrees from both the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and The University of Cincinnati.
