Robert Nalbandov

Dr. Robert Nalbandov is an American professor originally from Georgia specializing in international relations, development, security, and political science. He was described by Armenian Weekly as a leading foreign policy expert. He specializes in Eurasia, the Middle East, and Sub-saharan Africa.

Born in the Georgian SSR of the Soviet Union, he developed an interest in politics as he saw Georgia undergoing significant political changes. after getting an undergraduate degree in English he attended the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy and then studied at Central European University.

He has worked at many American academic institutions including United States Air Force Air Command and Staff College, Angelo State University, in addition to many international institutions. A considerable amount of his work focuses on modern Russian foreign policy.

He suggested that modern post 9/11 terrorism was derived from a fear show, not rational actions. His works examine and compare political and ethnic conflicts in various countries. He has also written AbOUT the political impacts of Covid-19.
