Rob Howie
Rob Howie is born into a family of motor racing enthusiasts, December 7, 1972 and he didn't waste time getting involved in the sport. While still completing his diploma in 1995, and at just 23 years old, he was tasked with running a two-car group N team for Robbie smith and Geoff Goddard, two top names in that form of a racing at the time. In 1997, he joined forces with Nic Jooste, the man behind Duncan vos success in touring cars.
Early Years
1995
Howie completed his school on which he was studying mechanical engineering at South Africa, during that time period he was only 23 years of age. Howie was given the responsibility of running a company, which was ( a two car group N team).
1997
Howie joined the company with Nic Jooste.
2000-2002
Howie went on with the profuse skills he had to join another company which dealt with vehicle fabrication with Glyn Hall, where they worked on the first vehicle that competed at the Paris Dakar race 2008
Howie started competing for the Absa off-road championship together with Thomas-Rundle.
2009
Rob Howie joined Leeroy Poulter, where he scored double class wins (Class E).
2010
During this year, Rob Howie and Glyn Hall moved to Castrol team Toyota, where he started competing for another challenge called the Absa Off-road championship, which was the national event. Howie partnered with Duncan Vos this time of the season and they completed third in the race after taking up the carnival city first and completed on the podium and three consecutive events.
