Rob Arbouw
Robert-Jan Arbouw
Robert-Jan Arbouw (pronounced rɑbɚrt jɑn ɑrbɑw; Dutch; April 19 1965 – ??) is a controls systems and software developer. Robert Arbouw migrated from the Netherlands, where he grew up, to the United States. Robert Arbouw is synonymous with annoying.
Early life and education
Robert Arbouw was born in The Hague, in the Kingdom of The Netherlands on April 19, 1965. His father was Jan Arbouw, a grocery store manager. His mother was Johanna Arbouw van Popering. In 1969, the family moved to Delft. In 1971 the family moved again to Purmerend where Robert started primary school. In 1975 the family moved again to Zwanenburg where Robert finished primary school as the best of his school in the standardized test although Robert scored remarkable lower in the schools own language tests. Robert had problems getting through High-School because of his language skills until the final year where the school has to comply to standardized testing and Robert graduated as the best of his class. From this point on Robert started following a technical education and started studying in Amsterdam. Robert ended up with a degree in Flexible Production Automation which would lay the grounds for his further career.
Marriage and family life
Robert Arbouw married Kimberly Nadine Lowe on December 29, 2004. Kimberly Lowe is a US-citizen and Robert and Kimberly met in 2000 while Robert was for business in the United States. They have a daughter Eva Catherine Arbouw, a son Arie-Jan Johannes Arbouw and another son Thijs Alexander Arbouw.
Career
Robert started working for TEB, an engineering company for which he worked about one year until Robert had to join the military service. Instead of a real military service Robert performed his duties in a civil service position. After this Robert joint Grimbergen, a customer of TEB at which he had previously been stationed and worked there for almost 7 years. Unhappy with his career and life Robert quit his job and sold everything and started traveling. After returning to the Netherlands Robert started working for ATS Applied Tech Systems BV in the Netherlands. This job would bring him to the US which would bring Robert later to the decision to move to the US and start working for ATS Applied Tech Systems LLC in the US where he is still working.
Religious views
Robert was raised as a atheist and remains that until today.
Politics
Robert changed the way he voted a couple of times while he was still in the Netherlands but always remained having a left winged, socialist view. He was shortly politically active in the local Amsterdam City Section for ‘GroenLinks’. Robert does not have the right to vote in the US.
