Resource Space Model
Professor Hai Zhuge proposed the Resource Space Model RSM for the first time in 2004 as a non-relational data model.
Resource space is a multi-dimensional classification space. The model includes a set of normal forms, operations, the relationships between normal forms and operations, completeness of operations, integrity, storage of resource space. The model is extended to the probability Resource Space Model to manage uncertain contents. Research also concerns deploying a resource space onto a peer-to-peer network. The RSM focuses on the classifications on contents and provides abstractions on contents, so it is suitable for manage versatile online resources, personal resources, and do faceted browsing/navigation.
Research work on RSM 2.0 is to realize automation of resource space in creation and management.
