Resonance (band)

Resonance was a short-lived melodic hardcore act based out of Richmond and Virginia Beach. The band's brand of Revolution Summer-style emo and more straightforward punk rock tendencies gained them a local fanbase, as well as notoriety from punk rock webzines. They gained comparisons to popular forebears like Kid Dynamite and Lifetime as well as peers like Shook Ones.

The band released their first demo in 2004, with another demo the following year. After a supposed last show in March 2006, the band reformed some time later and released a split with fellow Virginian hardcore punk act Permanent in 2007 on Collapse Records, run by former Revelation Records A&R Bob Shedd.

The following year, the band released a vinyl compilation LP titled Transfuse on Collapse as well, which collected both of the aforementioned demos. The band broke up shortly thereafter.
