Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific)
Regional Cadet Support Unit (Pacific) (RCSU(P)) is responsible for the organization and support of the units of the Royal Canadian Sea Cadets, Royal Canadian Army Cadets and Royal Canadian Air Cadets and the organization of the Canadian Cadet Movement within the province of British Columbia. RCSU(Pacific) is staffed by a full-time staff of Canadian Forces Primary Reserve Cadet Instructors Cadre (CIC) officers, Regular Force and Primary Reserve Officers and non-commissioned members. This unit is a sub-unit of Maritime Forces Pacific and is based at CFB Esquimalt.
Purpose of RCSU(Pacific)
RCSU(P) oversees all the training and supports the 7000+ Sea, Army and Air Cadets and 600+ CIC officers across British Columbia.
Regional Cadet Instructor School (Pacfic)
CIC officers are part of The Primary Reserve, much like their counterparts in the rest of the Primary Reserve, they come from all parts of the community. Regional Cadet Instructor School (Pacific) (RCIS (Pacific)) instructs all the CIC officers that are in the area of RCSU (Pacfic).
Cadet Summer Training Centres
RCSU (Pacfic) has several Cadet Summer Training Centres (CSTCs) that it is responsible for, they are:
- Albert Head Air Cadet Summer Training Centre (AHACSTC)
- HMCS Quadra Sea Cadet Summer Training Centre (HMSC Quadra SCSTC)
- Vernon Army Cadet Summer Training Centre (VACSTC)
- Regional Gliding School (Pacific)
- Vernon Army Cadet Summer Training Centre
