Redspot Car Rentals is a rental car company based in Sydney, Australia. Redspot was founded by Dan Mekler in 1989. It has grown from 1 Sydney location to cover most locations in Australia.
In 2002, Redspot acquired Australian Rent A Car and took possession of its national locations.
Redspot is owned by Waterloo Car Centre Pty Ltd.
Redspot was an affiliate of US based Advantage Rent A Car and serviced all its bookings until Advantage rent a cars merger with Hertz Rent-a-Car in 2008.
