Redneck (Lamb of God song)
"Redneck" is a song by the metalcore band Lamb of God. It is the third track of there 2006 album Sacrament. The song features bending and heavy distortion on the guitar parts. Also, it's one of the only songs off Sacrament that doesn't feature a guitar solo.
When asked AbOUT the song by Ultimate-guitar.com, Randy Blythe had this to say: "GeneRally, it's not about any one person in particular. It's about people in the music industry whose egos become needlessly inflated and they show it. It's a general song. It's applicable to anyone in their life. If a fan thinks, "Oh, well, this guy is a prick," go ahead and take it and make it yours."
Video
The video for "Redneck" shows Lamb of God coming to a young child's party, in A Tour bus, bringing strippers and causing damage at the party. During the video one of the band members extinguishes a cigarette in a paddling pool where two children are sitting. From looking at the video's content it looks as if that the majority of the band smoke or do some form of drugs that involves them being smoked and/or inhaled in some way due to the amount of smoke that comes out of the bus during the part when some of the bandmembers come out and hit a man in the face knocking him over and stepping over him. In fact, Randy Blythe, Lamb of God's vocalist, claims that his unique vocal sound (which contains elements of death metal, black metal and metalcore vocal styles) is partly because of smoking too much. The final scene sees Randy falling over into the paddling pool.
