Redlands Terrier Marching Band

The Redlands High School "Terrier" Marching Band(RTMB) is an award winning competing marching band. Every year, the Redlands Terrier Marching Band hosts the annual event the "PREview Of Champions" which has all the competing bands from the area including the REV Band, and the Yucaipa Band. The Band is from Redlands High School in Redlands, California.

Performances

The RTMB performs at various places. They include football games, field shows, field competitions, and two parades annually. The two parade they perform at is the Redlands Christmas Parade and the 'Loma Linda Parade.

Preview Of Champions

Every year in late September, the Redlands High School Marching Band hosts a fundraiser called the preview of champions. It is held at the RCC stadium every year, but starting in 2008, the band used the high school's new stadium. The competition features over 20 of the top marching bands in the state of California. It also features the award-winning RCC Marching Tigers to close off the show each year. It is not counted towards SCSBOA records, but gives the chance to let the band's play a performance to see what they need t work on before the real competitions start. The competition is open to the public, and tickets are five dollars and there is a food court there.

Colorguard

The colorguard performs with the marching band at all field competitions and parades. they spin, twirl, and toss flags into the air. the colorguard started working with sabers and rifles in 2006.

The colorguard adds the theme and color to the marching band shows, as the members dance around the band with their equipment.

Band Leaders

The director of the band is James Benanti. Mr. Benanti also is the director of the RHS jazz ensemble, The RHS orchestra, the wind ensemble, drumline, and the symphonic band.

Uniforms

The band's uniform is a blue vest, black pants, a black and blue shako hat and a black plume and black Dinkle shoes. The drum majors uniform is a white vest, white pants, a white and blue shako hat and a white plume and white Dinkle shoes. The colorguard uniform is custom to the show each year.
