Rebuilding Information Station (RIS)

The Rebuilding Information Station (RIS) provides information to assist homeowners in managing the various aspects of rebuilding their homes. The RIS aims to create a diverse knowledge base to help homeowners make decisions in the rebuilding process.

The Rebuilding Information Station (RIS) is a collaborative effort of UNO-CHART, The LSU AgCenter, Tulane City Center and The Road Home Program.

The RIS offers an array of rebuilding and restoration-related resources for the New Orleans and Southeast Louisiana communities. Covering all aspects of rebuilding and going beyond, they have a wealth of information available on a range of subjects including Disasters, Elevation, Finance, Floodproofing, Living Green, and Restoration of an historic property.

In addition to providing a wealth of literature on the above topics, the Rebuilding Information Station and its partners offer a wide array of educational programs related to construction and natural hazard awareness. Most programs can be adjusted to fit specific needs. They can be structured for all day events or mini sessions. The RIS has presentation equipment that can be brought to location as well as a Mobile Outreach Vehicle for education in an outdoor, under-tent environment.
