Razvan Stoica
Razvan Stoica (born 8 June 1986) is a Romanian violinist. He has established himself as one of the most sought after young virtuoso violinists and appears regularly with world orchestras and in recital throughout the world.
Education
Born in Bucharest into a MusicAL family, Razvan Stoica began studying violin at five years old and continued his studies at the Bucharest George Enescu Lyceum with Olivia Papa, Modest Iftinchi, and Stephan Gheorghiu. He won the first prize at the first EDition of the "Lorenzo Perosi" Competition (Tortona) in 2003 for violin. Later in that year a scholarship enabled him to attend master classes with violinist Ilya Grubert at Amsterdam Conservatoryum. He graduated from the University of Music with soloist and conducting degree in 2009.
Performances
Since his Europe debut in Holland in 2002 Razvan Stoica has had a distinguished career and performed with orchestras such as the Milan Philharmonic, St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Cluj State orchestra, New Jersey youth Philharmonic, and the Netherlands "Het Orkest" Philharmonic. He has played together with his sister Andreea Stoica on the piano (Duo Stoica) in renowned concert Halls like Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, Het Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Teatro San Barnaba in Bresica, Atheneum George Enesco in Bucharest, St Thomas Hall in New Jersey.
