Rael (character)

Rael is a character in Genesis' 1974 concept album The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Rael is presented as a half-Puerto Rican grafitti-writing punk kid of AbOUT 20 years of age. The story of his character is played out in Times Square, New York City, New York. Through the course of the album, Rael goes through a subconscious self discovery, which includes confronting death, falling in love, [...] gratification, castration, and eventually, a selfless act of heroism.
