Quesnel Youth Soccer Association(QYSA) is a local soccer association in Quesnel, British Columbia. QYSA provides a fun, friendly soccer environment to children of all ages in Quesnel. The programs for youth start at age 4 and continue all the way to the end of high school. QYSA now consists of 1200 players, 130 coaches and 50 referees. Soccer is the most played sport in Quesnel. AbOUT 1 out of every 3 children in Quesnel are registered soccer players.
History
QYSA was founded in 1978 and since then has been providing quality soccer to those in the North Cariboo.
Indoor
Quesnel is home to British Columbia's Largest freespan Indoor Turf facility. It was opened in May 2005 after a year or two of construction. Most of the funds came from the City Of Quesnel, BC Soccer & the Province of British Columbia. The facility is used for youth & adult soccer from October to April. Local schools and other organization also rent it.
Season
Soccer season in Quesnel runs from mid April to late June. Rep teams may play all year round. QYSA also runs a winter season from October to March(see above).

Rep Teams
From their birth until 2003 Quesnel's rep team was called the Quesnel Silver Bullets. The Bullets wore a silver & black kit with black shorts and socks. Quesnel Strikers is the name of Quesnel's rep teams since 2003. The the Strikers main kit is a golden yellow jersey with black shorts and yellow sock. The second kit is silver. A new kit May Be unveiled in spring 2009. The U17 Girls Strikers placed 7th out of 7 places at the BCSA Cup in 2007. A few good players have come from QYSA Rep & development programs. One is Justin Teide who is now playing soccer for South Lake, the second best team in South Carolina. He is trying to get a scholarship at an American university. Another of Quesnel's best players is Adrian Bears who is a U21 prospect for the Vancouver Whitecaps FC, a team United Soccer Leagues First Division.
