PTS Media Group

PTS Media Group Sdn Bhd was founded in 1988 by Ainon Muhammad and Prof Emeritus Abdullah Hassan it was established on 12 April 2000 as a general trade publisher for the Malay speaking readers.

Since its founding day, the company has steadily expanded from its modest beginning of a small dedicated team into a full-fledged publishing organization.

PTS has now transformed and comprised itself of key independent and established units/departments, while interlocking with each other to bring out the best in their functions for the benefits and growth of PTS, namely editorial;graphics and pre-press; sales, warehousing and distribution; marketing and promotion; finance, human resources and administration.

After eleven (11) successful years of publishing, PTS is now recognized as the most ACTIVE general trade and educational publishing companies in Malaysia with approximately 1400 back-list titles with an average of 20 new titles released every month covering wide range of subjects such as children, education, business, parenting, motivation, health, religion and literature.

Publishing Philosophy

The company philosophy is to continue publishing for the mass market Malay language and encompass a wider range of subjects and genre to serve a bigger and growing spectrum of readers.

Its noble vision is to be the leading general trade publishing power house in Malaysia within the next few years.

11. PTS Rights Department: handles requests for foreign & domestic publication rights including translations, adaptations, and other prints & electronic publications.

The company now employs a total of 150 employees and its publication are sold and distributed throughout Malaysia including Singapore and Brunei via an extensive network of distributors, independent and chain bookshops, library suppliers and book's contractors. Among them are reputable chained outlets such as Kinokuniya, Popular Bookstore, MPH Bookstore and Borders Malaysia.

With an average growth of 30%-40% annually since its inception, PTS is moving forward on the rights track to achieve its vision while focusing its master plan to be THE LEADING AND PREFERRED PUBLISHER in Malaysia.
