Prospect Insider
Prospect Insider is a Web site covering Major League Baseball, its top prospects and the First-Year Players Draft, with a special focus on the Seattle Mariners.
Prospect Insider's Founder and Executive Editor, Jason A. Churchill, has developed the site from the ground up starting in 2006, and his concentrated reports on the Mariners and their minor league prospects is greatly respected within the baseball community.
Churchill was a regular guest on Seattle's SportsRadio 950 KJR-AM for two and a half years, and still does radio spots throughout the northwest and beyond.
Prospect Insider recently added a second major contributor, Jonathan Aicardi, whose area of expertise is hitting mechanics and general analysis.
The site also is a good resource for breaking news, trade rumors and scouting reports on any significant player in the game today, major or minor league, and has published high-quality photos of prospects, which are GeneRally scarce around the internet.
Some of Prospect Insider's most popular features include the informative Mock Draft, Scouting Reports on Top Prospects and the incredibly insightful piece on the Bedard-Jones Trade where the site was the only source to report the parameters of the deal from the get-go.
Prospect Insider also publishes an annual Prospect Handbook providing Mariners fans with a scouting report on the top prospects in the club's farm system, as well as several other features that fascinate those who follow scouting and player development.
The site's senior contributor doubles as the Seattle Post Intelligencer's Minor League Prospects and MLB Draft reporter, penning weekly articles on the Mariners best prospects, adding a scouting view to their potential future in the major leagues.
