Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio, Inc. (PIA)

Founded in 1933, Professional Insurance Agents Association of Ohio, Inc. (PIA) is the largest independent insurance agents' organization in Ohio.

PIA of Ohio represents approximately 1,300 professional independent insurance agencies across the state and their owners and employees, as well as more than 14,000 associate members who are customers of those agencies. PIA members provide the highest level of customer service to insurance consumers through the use of highly trained and knowledgeable insurance staff. Professional, independent insurance agents provide all types of insurance, including property and casualty, and life and health.

PIA believes in protecting consumers and supports measures to ensure professional insurance agents are properly educated AbOUT the important insurance products they sell. PIA is a leading provider of quality insurance continuing education and designation courses for insurance professionals.

PIA is also a leading voice for agents and the industry in the area of public affairs, providing lobbying in the capitol and grassroots political organizing around the state.
