Prince of Wales Institute

H.R.H The Prince Of Wales Institute Of Engineering and Technology is located at the heart of Jorhat town in the state of Assam, India. It was established in 1927.

It is the first of all the Technical Institutes to be established in the entire North East India. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The institute has a campus area of with a congenial academic atmosphere. The institute is fully funded by Government, and is affiliated to the State Council for Technical Education, Assam. It is administered under the control of Directorate of Technical Education, Assam. The institute offers three years full time Diploma courses in seven disciplines, such as Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Technology, Automobile Engineering and Agriculture Engineering.

The Institute also has a Students Chapter of The Institution of Engineers India (IEI), Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) and an NCC unit (33ACTR).
