Pressalit group
Pressalit Group A/S is a Danish privately owned limited company, established in 1954. Today, Pressalit Group is one of the leading European manufacturers of toilet seats and specialised bathroom solutions for people with disabilities. The group includes two divisions – Pressalit and Pressalit Care:
Pressalit A/S
Pressalit develops, produces and markets products for the bathroom, primarily toilet seats. The company produces more than 100 different models, about 80 colour varieties and 20 finishes in solid wood. All toilet seats in duroplast are manufactured in the Pressalit factory in Ry (Denmark).
Having Danish design as its cornerstone and brand, Pressalit is famous for constantly seeking new interpretations of the notion. This has for instance led to a spectacular cooperation with a number of artists and craftsmen, resulting in an Art Gallery of toilet seats made of glass, aluminium, wicker work etc.
Pressalit Care
Pressalit Care manufactures and markets products for people with physical disabilities – primarily offering solutions for bathrooms, as well as kitchens. Pressalit Care products are manufactured in Denmark, the domicile of the company. The company operates throughout the world, among other things providing service and advice on room design.

In 2008 Pressalit Group A/S had 450 employees and created a turnover of 537.4 mio DKK. The company is represented in around 50 markets worldwide with a total export share of 80%.
History
Pressalit was officially founded in 1954, and was based in Ry, Denmark. In 1962 Mogens Boyter is hired as a sales man and he decides to initiate export sales. Design was established as a primary competitive parameter with the launch of a toilet seat called Pressalit Comfort 66 in 1966. In 1976 Pressalit Rehab, later known as Pressalit Care, was launched - producing bathroom products for the elderly and handicapped. Today the Pressalit Group is managed by the brothers Kim and Dan Boyter, the third generation of the Boyter family to run the business.
