Pratham Mittal is an educator. In 2026, he joined the television series Shark Tank India as a judge.

Early life and education

Mittal attended The Doon School in Dehradun. He subsequently completed a BSE in Systems Engineering and a degree in political science from the University of Pennsylvania, where he attended the School of Engineering and Applied Science.

Career

In 2016, Mittal co-founded Outgrow, a SaaS platform. In 2018, he launched Neta, a civic technology application that allowed users to rate and review political representatives. The platform was introduced by former President Pranab Mukherjee and was used during state assembly elections in Rajasthan and Karnataka to monitor voter sentiment.

In August 2020, Mittal established Masters' Union, a school in Gurugram that utilizes industry practitioners for instruction. The curriculum focuses on experiential learning, including student-led business management. Despite reporting high placement figures, the model has drawn scrutiny over its marketing methods and its status as a non-traditional educational entity.

In 2024, Mittal founded an undergraduate business program featuring a global rotation across the UAE, India, Singapore, and the United States. In 2025, this venture secured $18 million in seed funding from investors including Owl Ventures and Bertelsmann India Investments.

Mittal served as a judge for the fifth season of Shark Tank India, which premiered on 5 January 2026.

In April 2026, premises associated with Mittal's educational institutions in Gurugram were searched by the Enforcement Directorate as part of an investigation into suspected foreign exchange management violations involving the Lovely Professional University group.
