Polylog - Zeitschrift für interkulturelles Philosophieren

Polylog (stylized polylog) is a biannual German-language journal, which exclusively addresses the new movement of intercultural philosophy.

Polylog was founded in 1998 by the Vienna Society of Intercultural Philosophy in order to provide a homogenous platform for a broad professional audience, including not only philosophers, but also cultural scientists, theologists and other humanities and social scientists from all parts of the world.

The first issue was devoted to clarify and define the concept of intercultural philosophy, the philosophical prerequisites of an intercultural discourse, and the reorientation of culture-specific traditions and terminologies.

The journal aims to give equal voice to diverse philosophical movements in the context of their particular cultures as well as their relevance in a global context.

Other subject matters discussed in one or more issues include Asian Philosophy, Latin American Philosophy, universalisms, tolerance, translation, cultivation of the self, human rights, and biotechnology, to name but a few.
