Planet Funk Academy
Planet Funk Academy is a multicultural dance studio located in Houston, Texas. It was founded and is directed as of 2008 by Shawn Sterling Welling. The company started in 1991 and specializes in urban hiphop.
Planet Funk has produced more than 1,300 shows and 7 national tours, with audiences ranging from 85,000 live fans at Reliant Stadium, to Six million tuned in viewers on ABC’s Good Morning America.
