Pink the series
PINK the series is a serialized comedy produced specifically for a web audience. It's a short form program : average episode running time is approximately four minutes. The former mercenary Natalie Cross attempts to find two men - her next target and her future husband. Constant flashbacks to her childhood and teenagehood help understanding her story. First Season premiered Tuesday 9.4.2007, and then a new webisode premiered each Tuesday for the next ten weeks. Season Two premiered 9/16/08 and Season Three premiered 1/13/09 and ran through the early spring (25 total new shows).
Synopsis and Cast
Natalie Cross (Natalie Raitano) is happily in prison, safe, over the assassin business. But her biological clock is starting to ring. She has to get out and create a family before it's too late. The governement, represented by Wilson (Sheree J. Wilson) hires her to hunt down scum and dispose of them. She is now looking for two men - her next target and the man of her life. During her missions, Natalie is followed by Bunny (Katy Rowe), a teenage girl who sees her as her role model. The shows are punctuated by flashbacks to her childood and her teenage hood, helping us to understand the story of her life. Her father (Matthew Tompkins) has always wanted to have a boy, so he taught the little Nate (Sarah Zuck and Cameron Ten Napel) how to hunt and use a gun perfectly. As a teenager, Nate (Kimberly Matula) experiences life in college.

Technique
Show is shot in HDV on a Canon XH-A1 and a Canon HV20 using a Letus Extreme 35mm adapter. Lenses used are Nikkor 28mm, 50mm, 85mm and a 105mm. Shows are cut on two Avid systems (one desktop Media Composer and one laptop Xpress Pro) in true 1080p 24fps HD. The HDV footage is transcoded the to an Avid DNxHD codec. The built-in Avid, Magic Bullet Colorista, Digital Film Tools 55mm and Boris Continuumcolor corrector are used for color correction. Shows are compressed into HD Quicktime files.
Production team
Natalie Raitano who plays Natalie Cross is also the executive producer. The show is written by Mike Maden and directed by Blake Calhoun.

As a webseries, the show is only available on the Internet. It can be watched on YouTube, Myspace, Hulu, Vuze and The WB websites. Shows are also available to view in HD on www.Vuze.com. During release of new episodes Vuze gets an exclusive window on Sunday/Monday, before the general Tuesday premiere of each new show.
