Piero Ferrucci

Piero Ferrucci (born 23rd of April 1946) is a practitioner of Psychosynthesis and author of articles and books in the English, Italian, and German languages. The topics of his books have included psychosynthesis, kindness, spirituality, music appreciation, beauty, and children .

Early life

Ferrucci was born in the northern Italian city Torino. He is a member of the Huxley family, as nephew of Aldous Huxley and Laura Huxley. In 1970 he graduated from the University of Torino. Although first educated in positivist analytic philosophy, he practices in methods associated with new age philosophy.

Professional career

From 1968 to 1974 he was first a student of Roberto Assagioli, later his assistant, and (after Assagioli's death) became the director to the Istituto Psicosintesi, in Florence, Italy. Although first educated in positivist analytic philosophy, he practices in methods associated with new age philosophy. In 2008, he was the keynote speaker for the commencement ceremony of the University of Santa Monica school of Spiritual psychology at UCLA. He lives in Italy Australia, and Los Angeles.

Marriage and Children

Ferucci has two sons, Emilio Ferrucci and Jonathan Ferrucci, both music prodigies. Prior to the 2008 death of Laura Huxley at age 96, the three male Ferrucci's spent summers at her well known Spanish colonial Hollywood home "under the "O" of the Hollywood sign, where both sons performed, Emilio on violin and Jonathan on piano. Piero Ferucci's aunt, Laura Huxley, debuted on violin at Carnegie hall at age 13. Jonathan is known for having given an address to a Los Angeles gathering of members of the American Psychiatric Association, at the age of 11 years old. After thus being seen by the collected group of psychiatrists, he was determined to be normal. Emilio Ferucci is also known as inventor of the "Eriogonum dance", based on the geometric pattern of the flower structure of the local Eriogonum fasciculatum.
