Picture References on Causality – Variety of Scenes in Hell is a painting by Taiwan traditional Chinese painting artist Mr. Jiang Yizi (江逸子,Yizi is first name). Mr. Jiang Yizi completed this huge painting roll in 2003. The dimension of the painting is 62cm high X 50 meters wide.

The contents of this painting are detailed illustrations of the variety of scenes in the Hell. The depicted scenes in Hell are based upon the description of hell in Buddhism scriptures. There are ten Halls (Judicial Courts) in the hell, each of which is taken charge by a King. Under each Hall, there are several types of hells that implement tormenting of beings who have done evil deeds. There is a kind of tormenting punishment corresponding to every type of evil doing in human world.

The pictures and explanation texts are all composed by Mr. Jiang. Now the pictures of this painting are being republished on many Chinese web sites. Mr. Jiang is providing these materials for free sharing as a contribution to morality teaching.
