Pickie Pool
Pickie Pool was an outdoor swimming arena in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland. Many generations of Bangor and indeed Belfast children learned to swim here. It is located in Bangor Bay and the water used for the pool came from Belfast Lough. It went into a state of disrepair and was demolished as part of a regeneration scheme of the town centre towards the end of the 1980s, which included the introduction of Bangor Marina, and a fun park that bears the name Pickie Family Fun Park, in memory of what had come before.
