Philip Simon (actor)
Philip Simon (born 19 December 1978) is an English actor.
He was born in North Harrow and raised in Northwood. He attended Orley Farm School and Merchant Taylors School, which is where he developed his love for acting before training at the Guildford School of Acting.
He is currently playing the roles of Daddy Pig and Danny Dog in the live stage version of Peppa Pig's Party, touring the UK until November 2010, with a break over the 2009 Christmas period when he will be returning to the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury to play Buttons in Cinderella.
His roles at GSA included Bergetto in T'is Pity She's a [...], Lysander in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Andrei in Three Sisters, Mack Sennett in The Biograph Girl, and he also wrote and directed a one-act spoof called Romeo & Juliet - The Truth! for which all performances were a sell out...both of them!
Since graduating, theatre roles include Fred in The Winslow Boy (UK Tour) and for the Theatre Royal, Windsor, A [...] is Announced, House Guest, The Sound of [...], Deadly Nightcap and Daphne Du Maurier's My Cousin Rachel. He also featured as a variety of characters, including Tim Henman, Prince Charles and a tap-dancing Tony Blair in the celebrated Newsrevue at London's Canal Cafe Theatre.
Philip has appeared in pantomimes all over the country where roles have included Simple Simon in Jack & the Beanstalk at the Eye Theatre, Suffolk, Wishee Washee in Aladdin in Radlett and the Roses Theatre, Tewkesbury, where he has also played Buttons in Cinderella.
