Internet Fame
Throughout late 2006 Phil suffered from recurrent acute tonsillitis, which then lead to a tonsillectomy at the end of 2006. Phil kept a photo diary charting their infection, removal, and healing. The appropriately named Phil's Tonsillectomy Diary became an internet sensation appearing on blogs and around the world, and on a Swedish radio station. It was then featured on the B3ta Newsletter, causing hits to the site to reach nearly 100,000. This increase in traffic helped promote Phil's music on a worldwide level, as he included links to his music pages, which was also noted by Aardvark Records.
