Phantom Darkness (PHDA) is the 29th booster set of the Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game, The planned OCG released date is November 23.

Set details

The Japanese set contains 80 cards, including 1 Ghost Rare, 5 Ultra Rares, 9 SUPER Rares, 18 Rares and 48 Commons. The English set contains 100 cards: 1 Ghost Rare, 10 Ultra Rare, 10 Secret Rare, 12 Super Rare, 20 Rare and 48 common. The English set contains 100 cards.it is the biggest set since Ancient Santuary

Mechanics

A new series of monsters known as "Dark Monsters" will be introduced in this set. These include "dark" versions of monsters previously seen, such as "Dark Armed Dragon" (the "dark" version of "Armed Dragon LV7") and "Rainbow Dark Dragon" (the "dark" version of "Rainbow Dragon"). This set will also contain more "Destiny Hero" cards and support and the remainder of the "Volcanic" series.

Notable cards

  • Yubel - The main villain of the third season of Yu-Gi-Oh! GX This monster is destroyed during the End Phase unless the controller tributes one of their monsters on the field - a small price to pay for its effect, which causes an attacker to take the damage instead of you. 1
  • Rainbow Dark Dragon - The dark version of "Rainbow Dragon". It has the ability to gain 500 ATK for each DARK monster destroyed.
  • Yubel - The Ultimate Nightmare - Yubel's third and final form. It's able to inflict damage to your opponent equal to the attack of the monster that battles it, destroy that monster in the bargain, and, best of all, it isn't destroyed in battle that costs you no battle damage.
  • Rainbow Neos - The strongest Elemental Hero Neos fusion that doesn't require 'Contact Fusion' to summon at 4500 attack points. It's effect determines on what card is sent to the graveyard. 2
  • Super Fusion - Discard 1 card from your hand. Send Fusion Material Monster(s) from the field to the graveyard, and Special Summon a Fusion Monster of the Fusion Material Monster(s) that are sent by this effect. (This Special Summon is treated as a Fusion Monster.) Spell, Trap, and The Effects of Effect Monsters cannot be activated to counter to this card's activation or the Special Summon of the Fusion Monster.
