Peter Schneider (entrepreneur)
Peter Schneider (Born 1953) is the creator of Word World, the Emmy Award winning "Best Children's Animated Television Series" seen on the PBS network nationwide.
Early career
Schneider began his career in the Packaged Soap and Detergent division of Procter & Gamble, Inc. where he introduced ERA liquid detergent. Later, he transferred to the Foods division, and introduced Pringles Potato Chips.
Word World
Schneider created Word World, a program on PBS television that won an Emmy Award for Best Children's Animated Television Series. Word World incorporates patent pending elements that provide unique educational entertainment that emphasizes "word-building" and preparing children for a successful future in reading. The U.S. Department Of Education Office of Innovation and Technology awarded Word World over $20 million in grant funding, earmarked specifically to fund educational entertainment via television, electronic learning, and the Internet. The Word World television series launched on PBS in September 2007, and is now in its third season. Word World products have featured at Target stores as part of a two-year exclusive distribution agreement. Television programming is distributed worldwide in 22 countries, supported by interactive activity online, school programs, and related learning products.

Schneider is founder and CEO of TransformEnt Technologies, which designed a technology platform they intend to enable dynamic, low-cost, customized, interactive animated stories—linking gaming and storytelling experiences and providing stronger brand engagement and revenue. TransformEnt Technologies intends to be a standard platform for enabling the creation and distribution of customized and interactive animated stories.
