Pearl Paul
Pearl Paul is a Scottish National Party politician and a councillor on Moray Council for the Speyside Glenlivet ward. From Rothes she is currently the Group Leader of the SNP on the Council.
In the 2007 Scottish Local Elections she secured 1,107 first preferences and took the first seat out of three in the ward. Her surplus helped secure the election of a running mate. In the 2012 Scottish Local Elections she secured 759 first preferences, taking the second seat in the ward. After the elections she remained Leader of an enlarged SNP group and Leader of the Opposition as the Independents and the Scottish Conservative Party formed an administration together.
Paul is a member of the following committees; Policy and Resources, Audit and Performance Review, Planning and Regulatory Services, Economic Development and Infrastructure, Flood Alleviation Sub-Committee, Joint Consultative Committee and the Community Planning Board.
