Patta Patta Singhan Da Vairi
Patta Patta Singhan Da Vairi is an upcoming 2015 Punjabi film set to release in April of 2015. The story deals with the 1984 attacks on Sikhs and takes place in Punjab. It is the second Punjabi film from producer Raj Kakra. Principle filming was completed in November 2014. The film was slated to Release on April 3, but when it was banned in India due to its content, production announced non-Indian release for April 17.
Story
Satnam, a college student in Punjab resides in a village. His sister comes to meet him with her son and leaves her son with Satnam as he has school holidays. Satnam goes to college next day and confronts some students from other group who are forcing a strike(Bandd) in college,
he beats them up as they have exams. On birth anniversary of Guru Arjan Dev ji, Local Gurudwara organize free sweet water distribution in its compound and invited Dhadi Jjatha’s for singing religious verses. One CRP informer gives wrong information to CRP that some antisocial elements are in the Gurudwara in disguise and CRP surround Gurudwara and starts firing. As Satnam’s nephew is also in the Gurudwara, Satnam rushes towards Gurudwara but CRP stops him in spite of pleadings. Satnam then goes to Ganga Singh, local leader’s bunaglow and finds him in conversation with few police officer and other leaders. They are talking how to finish Sikh youths from Punjab. Satnam is astonished to hear all this. He shouts at them and they fire at Satnam who gets a bullet in the shoulder but runs out saying that he will not allow their mission to succeed. CRP kills many in Gurudwara and Satnam’s nephew is also killed in the
firing. Police goes to Satnam’s sister’s house to search for him, his sister and brother-in-law are untraceable. Their bulls and buffalos die of hunger. Satnam goes to Police officer’s house to inquire but finds them drinking. He fights with them and kills many. He comes to know from an informer that Head of Police along with leaders makes a fool-proof plan to eliminate Sikhs. Satnam kills all of them in the end.
