Patrick Mukasa
Patrick Mukasa (born 1987) also nicknamed Kazalaabwana is a Ugandan Journalist and Television personality, currently working as NTV Akawungeezi news anchor on NTV Uganda . He is one of the most liked Luganda news anchors in Uganda, with the likes of Frank Walusimbi, Samson Kasumba and Faridah Nakazibwe. His colleagues nicknamed him Kazalaabwana, after mentioning Embwa Kazalaabwana in his first news report at Bukedde TV, which meant a dog that produced many puppies. He is the third born from a family of seven in his father's family.
In 2010 he started his career as a news reporter at Bukedde Television where he suggested the idea to spice up the news headline sound byte in order to capture the audience, this was later on accepted and he was finally promoted to Agataliko Nfufu news anchoring. Before joining Bukedde Television, he also worked as a master of Ceremonies on different occasions as he was inspired by long time radio personality Kaddu Mukasa, whom they share the similar voice.
In September 2013, he joined NTV Uganda
In 2017, he resigned from NTV, where he was working for over four years that he was going to concentrate on his business. In January 2017, he was planning to travel to Sweden to make any money after he had sold off his car and motor cycle to raise funds to help him travel and even get the travel documents.
Mukasa's money was conned as he left with almost nothing. This forced him to return to NTV Uganda and apologize to the Station's management for the second chance.
Education
He studied from Kibuuka Primary School for his Primary Education, St. Augustine College Wakiso for his Uganda Certificate of Education, Old Kampala Senior Secondary School for Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education, and later joined YMCA for Computer Science and UMCAT for journalism
