Patricia (band)
Patricia is a Ukrainian rock band formed in 2003 in Lviv. Ostap Panchyshyn is the lead singer.
History
The band members received their music education at the Lyudkevych Lviv State Music School and the Lviv National Music Academy of Mykola Lysenko. They won the Taras Bulba Festival in 2006 and 2007. In 2008, the band won the Chervona Ruta Festival.
During 2006, Patricia played the opening act for the Brothers Hadyukyny. They made a concert video with a symphony orchestra for the song "I'm flying" during Lviv Fashion Week. They were awarded "Rock Band of the Year" by the magazine RIA.

Visit to the United States
In 2013 at the invitation of the Ukrainian community in the United States, Patrica band travelled to Chicago to peform at the Uketoberfest. On August 23, Patricia participates in the Ukrainian Flag Day concert. Ostap Panchyshyn and the Honorary Consul of Ukraine raised the Ukrainian flag during a public ceremony. During the time in the United States, the band makes a studio recording of a song called "When You Hear in the Night (Little Bird)" based on a poem by Ivan Franko. Upon their return, the Patricia band become a finalist in the Pepsi Stars of Now music competition, together with another band The Hardkiss.
Rock Symphony Project
In 2008, the team took part in the national selection of the best young rock bands, organized by Ukrainian mobile operator DJUICE. Patricia was among the 16 best rock bands and won the right to participate in the national tour DJUICE Music Drive in 2009.
Winning this competition enabled the musicians to get a grant to conduct their own musical project that became "Rock Symphony". This project has combined classical and rock music to encourage young people to be interested and enjoy high-quality Ukrainian music, reviving interest in classical music and encouraging young people to creative experiments. After intense rehearsals with the orchestra of the Lviv National Music Academy of Mykola Lysenko, a concert was held in the courtyard of the palace Potocki in Lviv in July 2011.
