The Party of the Right is a Party in the Yale Political Union. It was founded in 1952 by members of the Union's Conservative Party, disillusioned with its perceived leftward shift, particularly in the Conservative chairman's decision to support Adlai Stevenson as the conservative candidate for the Presidency of the United States.
The stated goal of the Party is the making of Great Men, and its mantra is "We care not what you think, only that you think." It's members pursue this goal through rigorous debates each week and Socratic dialogue on and off the debate floor. Members also attend the weekly debates of the Political Union.
