Pandora tv
Pandora TV is a video sharing website that hosts user-generated content. Founded in October 2004, Pandora TV is the first video sharing website in the world to attach advertising to user-submitted video clips and to provide unlimited storage space for users to upload.
As of March 2007, the site was visited by 15 million monthly unique visitors and 1.5 billion video streams watched per month. It has over 1 million video inventory and 2 billion monthly pageviews.
Pandora TV has been ranked as the most viewed user-generated video sharing site in Korea since 2005 and it is ranked within top 15 sites in all Korean websites.(March 2007) The site is currently available only in Korean but expected to offer service in 5 different languages(English, Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) by July, 2007.
Pandora TV raised over $16 million from Silicon Valley venture capitals - Altos Ventures and DCM - in two consecutive funding rounds 2006 and 2007, which is the largest foreign investment made so far on Korean Internet venture start-ups.
