Palabra Miel

Palabral Miel is a Christian ministry that originated in Guatemala. It was once called Ministérios Elim and it is currently one big organization in the world. Headquarters in Santiago Atitlan Guatemala (Even though Palabra MIEL's central church, and the apostolic office is located in Guatemala City). This ministry has spread throughout the world. It is divided into "directivas" which makes the expanded Ministry into smaller sections.

History

This is a Christian ministry led by the Apostle Gaspar Sapalú Alvarado in Guatemala. A native of Santiago Atitlan Guatemala, who became the leader, and Apostle of ministerios Elim when Othoniel Rios paredes died in 1998. The majority of the pastors whom at the time belong to Ministerios Elim recognized Gaspar Sapalu as the new leader, and Apostle of Ministerios Elim. After a time of transition a group of pastors led by Jorge Fuentes of ELIM Los Angeles, and the two sons of Othoniel Rios Paredes tried to displace Gaspar Sapalu, because they wanted to gain sole possession of the leadership of Ministerio Elim around the World. This upraising was not successful and about ninety percent of the pastors, along with the Apostolic office decided to expel the trouble makers. Furthermore, Apostle Gaspar Sapalu and the Apostolic office decided to change the name of the ministry to Palabra MIEL to tried to distant themselves from these group of pastors who would not recognize the leadership of Gaspar Sapalu.

Ministerios Palabra Miel is a worldwide ministry having churches all over the world. Palabra Miel, many believe, could be the only one ministry that still has the original structure that Dr. Rios had when he was alive with Ministerios Elim, other ministries that came out of Dr. Rios' ministry differ from his teachings. Some of these ministries have many apostles, and some now, believe there is no need for an Apostle in the church of Jesus Christ. Palabra Miel still has only one Apostle and the Apostolic Office which is an international coalition of pastor that belong to this ministry. This is the structure that Dr. Rios left behing before his death.

Ministerios Palabra MIEL retained the word MIEL on its current name, because MIEL (in Spanish) came from (MI)INISTERIOS (EL)IM. Ministerios Palabra MIEL recognizes that God founded ELIM through Apostle Dr. Othoniel Rios Paredes back in the mid 60's. Many recognize Palabra MIEL as the true original Ministerios Elim, because palabra MIEL had retained the same fundamentals and praise and worship style, as well as, the majority of churches that used to be under the name Ministerios Elim. Many of the pastors who left Palabra MIEL have argued that Apostle Gaspar Sapalu has tried to change the fundamentals that Dr. Rios taught throughout his ministry, and therefore they went on to create their own apostolic networks. The word that God continues to bring through the ministry of Apostol Gaspar Sapalu Alvarado is life transforming.

Though the Church of Palabra Miel does not go under a specific denomination, it is Pentecostal, Evangelical and Apostolic.
