Pacifidlog town (Kinagi Town) is an isolated settlement in the Pokémon game. The entire town is said to have been built on top of Corsola that inhabit this area. Since the town is located on the sea with only planks linking the buildings, the bicycles are not permitted here. The town can be only accessed via the sea routes and by fly if you have visited it once before. It is best to visit Pacifidlog Town after you defeat the Elite Four. There is a Pokémon Center here, but no Pokémart.
There is something of a plot hole associated with this town: After the player defeats the Elite Four, the S.S. Tidal, a ferry ship, is put into operation. The S.S. Tidal is capable of going from Lilycove City to Slateport City via a sea route. However, if the player tries to surf the same sea route, they will inevitably end up passing through Pacifidlog Town. How the ship manages to avoid the town is never explained.
Pacifidlog Town in the animé
Paciflidog Town is very different in the animé. It is a much larger island town, and it also contains a contest hall, where May competes to get her 5th ribbon.
In anime, the Japanese series called Pocket Monsters: Advanced Generation. The opening makes a reference quoting "Kinagi Town" in the song Challenger.
Places of interest
Sky Pillar
Sky Pillar is an abandoned tower to the northeast of Pacifidlog Town, located in the Hoenn region, that is home to very strong Pokémon. It plays a major role in Emerald and is an extra in Ruby and Sapphire. In Emerald, the player needs to go to Sky Pillar to summon Rayquaza to solve the fight between Kyogre and Groudon in Sootopolis City.
During the stage play on Sky Pillar, the items needed are HM03 (Surf) and the Mach Bike. Surf is necessary since Sky Pillar is on an island in the ocean, and as there are cracks in the floor the Mach Bike is needed to speed over them in order to prevent the player from falling through. The Master Ball will also be of aid when trying to catch the rare and powerful Rayquaza.
When the final floor of Sky Pillar is reached, Rayquaza can be captured. Rayquaza is the legendary figure of the Sky in the games, and it is called to calm down Kyogre (legendary figure of the water) and Groudon (legendary figure of the land) after their cataclysmic second fight. When the player returns to capture Rayquaza it is always level 70, so it is a very difficult fight unless the Master Ball is used. The Elite Four must be defeated to catch Rayquaza in the Ruby and Sapphire games.
Besides Rayquaza, Claydol, Banette(in Sapphire and Emerald), Dusclops(in Ruby), Sableye(in Sapphire and Emerald), Mawile(in Ruby), Altaria, and Golbat can be caught in Sky Pillar. However, the Pokémon, or unevolved forms of them, are catchable in other areas as well. In Emerald, they are at a considerably lower level than in Ruby or Sapphire, since the player must go through the tower earlier in the game.
Mirage Island
Mirage Island only appears when the ID number on one of your Pokémon matches the given number of Mirage Island. The numbers change everyday into any random number. Players usually go through the whole game without seeing this mysterious island. Wynaut run wild on the island and are from levels 5-50. The island is also the only place to find the Leichi Berry, but Wynaut is obtainable in 2 other ways. Wynaut comes from the egg in Lavaridge Town or breeding Wobbuffet holding Lax incense
Southern Island
Southern Island can be only accessed via the Eon Ticket, which is only available at Nintendo and Pokémon events, an E-reader with the Mystery Gift enabled, and the S.S. Tidal in operation. This is the home of Latias and Latios. You can catch the one that's you usually can't in your game at this island. It is highly recommended to save before you visit this island.
Demographics
With Pacifidlog being small, it has a small population of 16.
