OSAMI-TR
research project OSAMI-TR is the Turkish subproject of the European ITEA 2 project OSAMI (Open Source AMbient Intelligence).
The aim of the international project OSAMI is the design of a basic, widely applicable SOA-oriented component platform, its development, test and its provision as open source software. The project consists of a number of national subprojects, each focussing on a certain field of application. The Turkish subproject OSAMI-TR, funded by the Tubitak, the Turkish Science and Technology Council (TUBITAK). The main objectives are interoperability, maintainability, reliability, as well as automated configuration and management of devices and services. The advantages of these technical contributions will be demonstrated by means of health, public service and defense applications.
The software component platform specified by the OSGi Alliance forms the technical basis of the OSAMI platform. It provides lifecycle management for software components as well as local service interactions as defined in service-oriented architectures and will be combined with the Web Services approach, in particular DPWS / WS4D in order to implement distributed, dynamically configurable, vendor-neutral and device-independent solutions.

- Support programme: TEYDEB
- Duration: 01.01.2009 - 01.01.2012
Technical and Scientific Objectives of OSAMI-TR
- Establishment of and open tools and development platform for OSAMI services
- Establishment of OSAMI services and solutions for the municipalities and local government that enable public access to information and create systems that will make large impact on the level of services available to citizens living in an “intelligent” city.
- Help build foundations for "Continuity of Life and Connectivity" works. The output will be a "Personalized Health Monitoring System".
- Create remote tracking and simulation software, for real time and highly distributed applications.
Participants
- Eteration A.Ş, Istanbul
Eteration has deep embedded experience in building tools and open source development processes for services
and service runtime. Eteration will contribute to platform by providing tools capability.
- Sampaş A.Ş., Istanabul
Solutions for the municipalities and local government that enable public access to information.
Experience in e-government software and IT systems and the resulting model for integration of
information that is made available from many distinct systems will make large impact on the
level of services available to citizens living in an “intelligent” city.
- STM, Ankara
STM builds simulation software, real time and highly distributed solutions for
the defence industry. Their experience in building modular and embedded systems,
real time software and highly distributed and heterogeneous runtime environments
will provide important domain expertise and knowledge to the project.
- SRDC, Ankara
SRDC is developing solutions for eHealth domain, and Clinical Decision Support System
(CDSS) automation. OSAMI project will help build foundations for "Continuity of
Life and Connectivity" works. The output will be a "Personalized Health Monitoring System".
