On a Friday (film)

On a Friday is a 2005 film from Erickson Productions. The film was written, produced and directed by Anthony Serra, Josh McLaughlin and Christian Crehan. It was edited by Anthony Serra & Josh McLaughlin.

Plot

The film follows three boys who are incredibly bored boys who decide to film and document what they do everyday after school. Filled with antics and the boys' odd behaviour, the film is guaranteed a million laughs. The film was filmed in October 2005.

Release

The film was shelved for nearly two years before it was decided that it would be released. It will be released through the internet via YouTube and Google Video sometime in May 2007. The film is still in its long and difficult editing process.

Cast

The film stars its three creators, Josh McLaughlin, Anthony Serra, and Christian Crehan as the main characters of the film, as well as many of their peers and plenty of unknown "extras".

DVD

On a Friday was to be released on DVD format in mid 2007, but the idea has, for the most part, been scrapped. The creators were reluctant to release it on DVD format, knowing the possibility of money loss. They decided to simply release the film for free online viewing through YouTube and Google Video.

Sequel

A sequel to On a Friday has been officially announced by the creators. Filming was originally planned for October 2006, but as of October 23, 2006, was postponed indefinitely. On a Friday II will most likely be released by November/December 2007. On a Friday II will focus on the same three kids from the First One, but the kids are now in high school. The plot will remain the same, with the exact same concept. The creators are also encouraging anyone who wants to be involved or have a small role in the film to do so. On a Friday II will be twice as long as On a Friday. Filming for On a Friday II has been dubbed "The Association". The creators have mentioned that when the original On a Friday is released online, that they would watch the view count. If the film generates 500+ views then a sequel will go into production immediately, and will get a late 2007 release.
