Olivier Ripley

Olivier Rippoll (born February 27, 1983), better known as Olivier Ripley, is a French film actor, director and producer.

Early life

Ripley was born in Fréjus, France. Ripley was born in Frejus (South of France), his mother Anne-Marie was a French and Latin teacher and his father Alain, an Air France pilot. He grew up in Saint-Tropez with his parents and sister, Valerie.

He attended a catholic boarding school when he was 14 and the Michelet Private school of Nice, France, a special school for gifted students during 3 years. He was athletic while growing up, fencing (winning many competitions) and sailing for example. He has a passion for art, especially the painter Salvador Dalí and the sculptor Auguste Rodin. Thanks to his father, he traveled all over the world : Africa, America, Asia and Europe.

When he was 8, he played in an Italian movie, and he knew that he would become an actor but he returned to his studies: literature, international trade and airline pilot. He worked on boats during summers then became a salesman, worked in events management and marketing. He joined the French Marines during last year of high school and later, the French Marines Reserve.

In 2009, Ripley decided to leave everything he had in France to go to Los Angeles to study acting.

He played in several films, including Axis of Evil directed by Anouar H. Smaine, winner of an Honorable Mention in the Los Angeles Movie Awards Film Festival 2010.

He is a member of the AFTRA, the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.
