Oleksandr V. Lytvynenko

Oleksandr V. Lytvynenko (Ukrainian: Олександр Валерійович Литвиненко, (born on 27 April 1972 in Kiev, at the time in the Ukrainian SSR of the Soviet Union, in present-day Ukraine) - Dr. of Political Science, Senior Research Associate, Colonel in Reserve, author of over 100 scientific papers and publications, including 3 sole monographs.

Biography

Education and Academic Degrees

In July 1994, O. Lytvynenko got the mathematician’s diploma (applied mathematics) at the Institute of Cryptography and Informatics of Russian Fss Academy, Moscow city.

In March 1998, he defended the thesis on political problems of intentional systems and global development, and has obtained the Ph.D. in Political Science.

In October 2002, O. Lytvynenko he defended Dr. of Political Science thesis at the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

In April 2003, he became the Senior Research Associate for fundamentals of the state national security.

In March 2009, O. Lytvynenko got the Specialist’s Diploma in Legal Science, National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv.

Professional Activity

From September 1997 to July 2007, Oleksandr Lytvynenko worked as the Assistant, Lecturer, 0.25 fte at the Institute of International Relations, the National Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv.

From August 1994 to August 1998, he was the Officer, Chief Officer, and Chief Specialist of the Department of Information Protection under the Main Department of State Communications at the Security Service of Ukraine.

From August 1998 to May 2007, O. Lytvynenko worked as the Senior Consultant, Head of the Department, Deputy Director, and First Deputy Director of the National Institute for Strategic Studies.

In May 2005, he took the post of the Head of the Department of State Security, Head of the Expert Commission, Head of the Department of State Security Issues under the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

In December 2007, he became the Deputy Head of the Department on Information and Analytical Support at the Security Service of Ukraine.

Since August 2009 he’s been working as the Adviser to Director of the Institute of National Security Problems at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

Training Courses

From April to May 2002, Oleksandr Lytvynenko attended the course on analytics in international relations at York University, Toronto, Canada.

From April to May 2005, he got trained on national security issues at Marshall Center, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
